  • These sessions are designed especially for Key Stage One children (Reception, Year 1 & 2) – though of course younger siblings are always welcome to come along and join in the play.

Expect all the usual Muddings magic – exploring, learning, creating, and muddy fun with a focus on using nature as our classroom. 🌳✨

These sessions are block booking only so the children get the chance to grow together, and we can build a lovely sense of community while following a programme designed to celebrate outdoor learning.

  • Nursery & school trips are available throughout the year.

A trip day gives children up to age 7 the space to play, explore, imagine and engage with nature — supporting self-directed play and outdoor learning.

    Trip day includes:

    • Safe risk taking and supported play (climbing, swinging, balancing)

    • Fire time with story & toasted marshmallows

    • Teamwork activities like obstacle courses & building dens

    • Exclusive use of private woodland

    • L3 Forest School teacher-led sessions

    • Toilet and washing station on site

    • Optional half or full day

    • Free parking and coach parking

  • Our training helps teachers rediscover the joy of ourdoor learning and pass it onto pupils. Led by an experienced Forest School Leader your staff will learn how to make the outdoors part of every day learning. Forest school doesn’t need an amazing woodland area or expensive equipment - it takes a belief that children learn best when they are given freedom, responsibility and a connection to nature.

  • Alongside our regular woodland sessions, Yorkshire Muddings also runs special events throughout the year. These include seasonal celebrations, family woodland days and pop up Forest School sessions at community events and festivals.

Our special events are designed to offer something a little different while staying true to our Forest School ethos. Children are invited to explore, create, play and connect with nature in a relaxed and welcoming setting, with activities shaped by the season and the environment.
